What is a Robot? What is a Program?

The questions we had to blog about in chapters 1 and 2 were how is a robot different from a toaster? And why is program structure important? A robot is different from a toaster because the robot and preform basic human tasks if programed to and a toaster can't. The reason that program structure is important is so that it makes our life easier by getting everything correct the first time because if we do not use program structure the robot will not function in the correct way or at all.

  1. Interesting response... Kenny, can you go back and summarize what you read in Chapters 1 and 2. I'm not sure that the way you defined "program structure" fits with what you were supposed to read.

  2. OK, but awfully short, u've covered the sense of chapters one and two, but i think u need to explain more (in agreement with mr.inskeep).

Applying a well constructed program structure does help make life easier - the steps of making a program structure is similar to making an essay - 1st, rough draft, 2nd, final draft.
